Amazing eSpinner. I just love how it launched on Kickstarter.

  2. Alex

A lovely wheel with impressive capacity! It is much faster and quieter than the nano, and a little more intuitive to use. Truly worth the wait.

  3. Jessica Ransom

Great little workhorse! Quick 3 minute set up and it’s good to go!

  4. Sarah Bordelon

Easy set up. Quiet and powerful spinner. Going to have a blast with this!

  5. VELVET DISHON

Easy to set up & get started. Super quiet & very portable. Another great wheel from Dreaming Robots. Also best customer care!!!

  6. Janet

    It’s so quiet!

  7. Melissa

Love my two! So fast and so quiet. Can do super fine or chunky art yarn. A few spare parts included, which was really nice. Excellent customer service.
This was the third eel wheel kickstarter and couldn’t be happier.

Unboxed and spinning in under 5 minutes. I’m delighted to have this! Thank you Dreaming Robots for making an e-spinner that is a more easily justified expense for a casual hobby spinner, and for the great design details (sturdy bobbin weight, smooth bearings, extra parts included). I’m looking forward to many happy projects started on this e-spinner!

I love it! I’m so happy! I really like the foot pedal on/off. It preserves your speed setting, and is a hands-free way to quickly stop and start. And the bobbins are so big! I think they’ll hold twice what I could on my traditional wheel. The hooks slide easily, and I like the adjustable tension on the bobbin. I’m over the moon! Worth the wait!

Just got mine 2 days ago. Today, I spun a 100 gram 2 ply ball of Corriedale wool worsted weight. I watched a great video on setup. I could not be more pleased. It is amazing, easy to control, and very simple to use. Also very quiet. Next, I’m working on lace or fingering. The goal is 2 ply DK. I love this cute little thing so much. Thank you so much!

My wife has been spinning yarn for over 40 years. She currently has 5 traditional wheels. About 5 years ago I get her her first e-spinner. Awesome wheel that works great. A few years ago I got her a Nano 1.0 for fun. She fell in love with it and uses it a lot to spin fine yarn.

A week ago I ordered her the EEW 6.0. So far she filled two spools and and then plied them into 328 yards of double ply yarn. She absolutely loves the wheel. Thanks again for delivering a really great product at an even more awesome price. Nothing out there to compete with this little beast from a price point.

I have a herd of spinning wheels and I just can’t stop using the EEW 6.0! So quiet, portable and a true pleasure to use. This wheel is all you need for a great price. Great videos and customer service too!

I havent spun for nearly 3 years. Why? Cos im lazy. The bothering of getting my wheel out has exceeded the idea in my head every time.

In the early hours of Saturday i saw this. I thought to myself ive always wanted an electric wheel. Now. I do own an ashford electric one but i never got on with it. So this was a risk. So out came my credit card.

Being so small and light you can move it, pick it up and put it down with ease. Its small so can be stored even under my couch. It comes with everything. 6 bobbins. A lazy kate. A foot peddle and some spares. All for less than half the price of the ashford which doesnt come with all that

So as a blank view there are a few wishes i would have. I wish the foot pedal varied the speed not just click on click off, but i also kinda get it as you dont need to keep your foot on it. I wish it had a plastic lid like sewing machines to protect it when not in use. I wish the speed numbers and the Z and S indicators were more visible as matt black on matt black is harder to see (i coloured Z and S with a bronze sharpee may do speed numbers later) Finally i wish the base tray way bigger/deeper so you could store crap in it but really. These are all minor wishes. The only point that i could mark down is it does seem trickier changing bobbins but no worse than the ashford.

This eew is a Dark horse. It doesnt look much eg it is a simple looking beast. Its not made of some fancy pants wood, like a Golding wheel and as a result its not expensive. But thats the beauty. It can do all that the others do. In fact this pack is all you need to get spinning on a “wheel” 6 bobbins is quite a lot. But if you want more 3 for the price of 1 ashford wooden one

Another happy customer! I was surprised how easy it is to use. I added the plastic inserts into the yarn hooks so that it is easier to spin art yarn. haven’t used my four traditional wheels since my EEW 6 arrived.

Great espinner! Very affordable price! I’m a very happy customer. I’ve been using my EEW 6.0 almost daily since it arrived, and I couldn’t be more pleased with how this machine works. It’s a powerhouse of an espinner! It’s solidly built. I love the big bobbins when it comes to plying, but it handles spinning singles like a dream as well.

Exactly what I wanted! I packed up spinning a few years ago and got rid of all my supplies because I didn’t really have room for it all and my hands started to get cranky. This little wheel takes up barely any room and it is so portable and light, I can set it up and spin anywhere to make it feel comfortable. And because I can have it set up near me I can spin for a while and take a break and go back to it without moving from my desk. I can sit and watch movies on my desktop and spin at the same time, it is so quiet. And a good price too, with enough bobbins to keep me going and a bag of spares because obviously you folks know what it’s like to be caught out! Brilliant package, thank you so much.

  17. Ellen

I was skeptical at first about this wheel but it came highly recommended from a few friends. I figured at this price if I didn’t like it, I would resell it. It does not disappoint. It spins well and is easy to control. It comes with 6 bobbins and the price for the lazy kate is extremely reasonable. I can spin the same yarn on the 6 as I can on my $@000 treadle wheel. What are you waiting for? Buy it now!!

I’m so impressed with the engineering of the 6.0. I’ve never had luck with any kind of e-spinner and really, never got very good at spinning on a wheel. But I decided to try this one due to the rave reviews and low price. Boy am I glad I did! I still have a ways to go with spinning consistently and well, but the 6.0 makes spinning no longer a chore. I love it! I have it sitting next to me on my desk so I can just spin for a while whenever I need a break from work.

I’m thinking about getting the Nano since I heard that the Nano’s bobbins work on the 6.0 – so I can spin on some Nano bobbins and then ply on the 6.0. Plying is another frightening skill I need to master!

I received my EEW6 a few days after ordering. I was absolutely delighted with all it has to offer…especially the portability and the very quiet spin! I dislike any type of noise from my wheels, and this is completely silent. It spins like a dream and is so easy to set up and to travel with. I just ordered the suggested battery pack to make it even more portable.

I can’t review this without mentioning the affordability of this little beast. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw all that came with this wheel…and the quality, especially for the price. A simple machine, but affordable and very productive!
I may just have to get the Nano!

  20. Lauren Torstrom (verified owner)

Just ordered a 2nd EEW6 because my husband and I keep fighting over who gets to use it.

I was really impressed with how simple the wheel was to set up and spin with. We are both beginner spinners and have found it very easy to spin consistently with the EEW6. It is also great for plying 2 bobbins from our regular wheel together. The EEW6 bobbins can hold a ton of yarn.

It’s also very quite, I can spin while we watch TV and only need to turn the volume up a smidge. I did forget one of the bearings at first and it was a little loud, but once I actually put it together right it was nearly silent.

    100% worth purchasing!

I purchased the eew 6 after using staying with a drop spindle. Because I have joint and knee pain, an electric spinner was the way to go.

Easy to use and if there are any problems you are facing, the Facebook group is so kind and helpful.

I will say that if you live in Canada to prepare for duties and customs charges. I live in Alberta and was charged for custom by UPS.

  22. Dylan (verified owner)

Love the EEW 6! It’s well made and easy to use, just like the nano version I’ve used for the last 2 years. I make jumbo-sized art yarn and it handles it beautifully, allowing for really large skeins with a fluffy, chunky texture.

The only frustration I have is with the uptake system. The spring is so strong it frequently loosens the uptake belt and forces me to manually wind most of my yarn, especially as I near the end of my skein. It’s fastened with a cotton string that frays from friction and breaks about every 3rd use, so be prepared to replace it frequently.

  23. Anusha krishnamurthy

This is my first wheel and I absolutely love it , spins quite and the bobbins hold a lot . I enjoy making art yarns and fine yarns in silk , wool , synthetic fiber , the Eew 6 spins effortlessly . I like to travel with some handwork of mine and 6 is perfect to carry around too . This is a total winner .

  24. Jane

Very nice little wheel, smooth, quiet, easy to use and with a lot of capacity. My guild was impressed enough to purchase one rent out to members. It was a hit at our last retreat. I have another electric wheel of a different make but if something happens to it, this is the one I’ll buy

  25. Evelyn Johnson

I love my EEW6!! I have back problems, and now I don’t have to worry back pain. It’s so easy to use. And plying goes really fast. The tension is controlled by string, which will break once in a while after use. Just get string about the same weight as the original string and dedicate it to the wheel. It’s very easy to replace. The simplicity of the machine is what I like. Two of my “Fiberista” friends also have an EEW6 and we Zoom and zoom with our wheels.

  26. Jo

Quiet and spins well. I could not be happier. Highly recommended.

  27. Chelle (verified owner)

I could not be happier with my EEW6. My goodness, it is everything, and more, that I hoped when purchasing. I can’t believe the quality of the machine, the efficiency, the ease of use, and the affordability and fine engineering. It’s the best fiber gift for spinners of all stages and spinning abilities. I am so impressed! I’d compare my EEW6 to wooden e-spinners at a much higher price point. It’s just pure delight to both spin and ply on this marvelous machine. I’m afraid my Schacht Matchless is going to get lonely now.

    WOW, just WOW!

Back in Dec. I was gifted two 30 gal bags of alpaca fleece. This started me in the spinning world with a bottom whirl drop spindle. Yeah . . . 😳

Came across your EEWs via YouTube and ended up purchasing the EEW6. Using it is a dream. To say that set up was easy, would be an understatement, and the build quality is superb!

Not sure if I want the cone winder or the length counter next . . . 🤔

I purchased this as a Christmas gift to myself. After a couple modifications, I’m using hemp twine for the break band and I had to replace the motor, the espinner works amazingly. I have to remind myself to use my Ashford Kiwi so it gets love too. I would definitely recommend the eew 6 to anyone who wants an espinner. Maurice has been wonderful to work with and there is a great FB page that has been helpful for troubleshooting.

I’ve been a handspinner for over 40 years and my ankle is just worn out! I knew I didn’t want to give up this hobby so started looking at electric wheels.

Thankfully, found the dreaming robots website easily and was enchanted with the looks and price (!!!)of the EEW 6.0. Very easy to set up, especially if you have any experience with a spinning wheel. And, oh my Lord! What a wonderful spinner! This little wheel has given me back my favorite hobby. So very thankful!

The bobbins have a wonderful capacity and plying is so fast, just lovely. Purchased the battery as recommended and added it to the wheel, which is designed to hold it perfectly (shocking, I know!). I’ve spun for hours using the battery and it works perfectly. I’ve never tapped out the capacity of the battery yet.

The lazy kate is fairly lightweight so needs to be attached to a board but is also designed with that in mind (another shocker). Frankly, I don’t know how Maurice can sell this at the asking price, it has so many desirable features and is so well designed. All I can say is take the plunge, I’m so very grateful to have this wheel and to be able to continue handspinning.

I began spinning on a drop spindle in January. This was my first ESpinner and I am absolutely in love. I also added a lazy Kate to make plying easier and I couldn’t be happier. Thanks for helping my new craft hobby flourish 🙂 After watching the comparisons of the the 6.0 and 6.1, I’m happy I am able to enjoy the upgrades that you added!
