Light Sensor

$20.00

This light sensor, which plugs into either of the Sensor ports on the Camera Axe, detects the light level. It is quite sensitive and works great at detecting lightning or other events that change the light level. When detecting lighting we suggest holding this sensor to the viewfinder of your camera with rubber band or some tape.

Here's an example image captured with this sensor. While lightning is usually more impressive at night we demonstrate here that this sensor will detect lightning during the day. Normally daytime lightning can't be captured because human reflexes aren't fast enough. At night a patient photographer can capture lightning by taking lots of long exposures and eventually getting lucky. The Camera Axe with this sensor will detect night time lightning while you sleep!
